Meet Barney Buffalo...tall (about 7 ft. at the shoulder), dark, and scary. He shared our narrow, curvy mountain road in Custer State Park. When we rounded a hairpin curve, he was the oncoming vehicle in the other lane. No, we did not stop to take pictures then. We turned around and went back to see where he was going...for lunch, of course.
