Boy! Have I been lazy!

It has been three weeks since I posted.

Since I posted last: Maddy was in the hospital, we went for the weekend to see if we could help Ang, got to see Ryan while he was home, I have worked three weeks (one with students), Jennifer and Marcus came for the weekend and are moving to Monroe, they sold their house, Kerri got laid off and is looking for a new job and a new apt/house, and Kerri and David have come to Ruston twice ! Thanks, David for helping Dean with the chores and the yard (and doing the dishes) and Kerri, thanks for helping me with the painting. We would have never gotten it all done this weekend without your help. School starts again tomorrow. It's been a busy three weeks.

We went to the lake yesterday and the road grading is finished...ready for asphalt and ground cover. First time David had seen the site...I think he is hooked and ready to fish, but I don't know how Kerri is going to stay out all day...she would be a RED HOT WOMAN for sure. I guess we can just watch from the air-conditioned glassed-in porch, huh? We got three new builder names from the Downsville area. ... maybe we will get this place built one of these days. I know the guys are all ready to fish...we are so ready for Ryan and Angie to have some time they can come enjoy ....Jennifer has already picked out her jet ski color (purple, of course) ....but Marcus thinks the boat should come first.

We just want to get a place where everyone can get together. I am looking for a baby bed to set up permanently in anticipation of frequent visitors! We will soon have three of baby bed/pack n play age. We really miss seeing all the family together.

Have a good week everyone! We love you!

The day has come.....

Started back to work yesterday. The new school year started for me on August 1. I have a new mantra to recite each morning about 6:45 am through the backroads, "I am blessed to have my job...I am blessed to have my job....I am blessed to have my job..." Do the summers pass faster these days? I don't know where my six weeks vacation went!

Too little time, not enough visits with the kids, too short vacations, but it is true "I am blessed to have my job".....
